Cupid (I Give You Love)

from M'Lady Serene (Tales of Achilles) by Scouts Honor

/

lyrics

My hands are sore from putting arrows to my bow. My feet and wings are tough from the labors of the road. My head hangs heavy, for the road has worn me long. My heart cries and sputters, but I will carry on. I give you love. That's what I do. And, what I do, I'm doing for you. Please forgive me if it causes you pain, for you can't know joy without your suffering. I saw a man more ungrateful than any. I saw a man with more gifts than the rest. I saw a man who's only love was glory and I let an arrow fly at this pest. Achilles, the ungrateful and I, so resentful. What a pair we've become.
