Arise

from Buried by Scouts Honor

lyrics

What brought me down is the frustration in which I drowned. White-knuckled, to a dream, I was clinging. Grasping tight until the dream stopped breathing. For one, I swear that my intentions were good. For two, I’d like that it be understood that for me, I’d like to serve and be true. To you, I’m sorry for the pain I’ve caused you. Now, arise. Let there be a glow in my eyes. If we can put these things behind, then what’s ahead might go right. Windy city streets and the lights I ride beneath like the sun has never gone down. Oh, this rusted town. For one in such a place as me, who for two years did see his whole life from the inside of a van, Big Dirty give life to this man.
